The Montgomery County Commission is committed to supporting programs, organizations, and initiatives that strengthen the quality of life for residents across Montgomery County, Alabama. Through the County’s Appropriations Request for Funding process, eligible nonprofits, civic groups, and community partners can apply for financial assistance that aligns with the Commission’s mission of fostering growth, expanding opportunity, and enhancing public services.

This funding pathway ensures that county resources are invested responsibly, transparently, and in ways that create measurable impact. Applicants are encouraged to review all guidelines, eligibility requirements, and documentation needs before submitting a request. By collaborating with local organizations, the Montgomery County Commission aims to empower community-driven solutions and contribute to a stronger, more vibrant Montgomery County.

To request funding, please complete the following:

  1. Submit a written request for funding to each Commissioner.
  2. Complete the Non-Profit Funding Request Form which requires submission of the following documents:
    • 501(C)(3) Tax Exempt Status Letter
    • Articles of Incorporation & Amendments
    • Signed Bylaws
    • Signed W-9 Form
    • Board of Directors
    • Most Recent Financial Statement
    • Most Recent Audit (if available)
    • Current Budget
    • Most Recent IRS Form 990
  3. Submit the completed Non-Profit Funding Request Form and required documents to the County Commission Office, Attn: Tammy Nix.
  4. If you wish to make a presentation before the Commission, contact your County Commissioner after completing the previous listed steps.
