Connecting Communities. Inspiring Wellness. Enriching Everyday Life.

Montgomery County Parks & Recreation serves residents across the county with safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained parks, community centers, and recreational programs designed to support healthy lifestyles, strengthen neighborhoods, and celebrate the spirit of community. We proudly oversee facilities and outdoor spaces throughout Montgomery County, excluding properties managed by the City of Montgomery, ensuring every resident has access to places where they can gather, play, learn, and thrive.

Our team maintains a diverse network of parks and community centers featuring amenities such as playgrounds, walking trails, pavilions, sports facilities, outdoor fitness equipment, classrooms, and multi‑use recreational spaces located throughout communities like Grady, Hope Hull, Snowdoun, Pine Level, Lapine, Ramer, and Waugh. These spaces support year‑round activities ranging from youth sports and summer programs to family events, fitness opportunities, and community celebrations.

The department is under the direction of a five-member Board and the Director & Recreation Leader are employed by the Montgomery County Commission. Parks & Rec is commitment to service. Our department works to enhance the quality of life for all residents through thoughtful stewardship of county parks and meaningful programs rooted in accessibility, safety, and community connection. Whether you’re enjoying one of our many scenic walking trails, attending a program at a community center, or participating in seasonal recreation opportunities, Montgomery County Parks & Recreation is dedicated to making every visit a positive and engaging experience.

Our Mission:
