The Montgomery County Detention Facility is presently undergoing extensive building restorations and the replacement of new plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. Recently the current HVAC heating system suffered a mechanical failure that caused the temperature to decrease in the building.

The Montgomery County Maintenance Department, along with the contractor performing the restorations, have repaired the HVAC system and have ordered additional parts to supplement the current heating unit. The building temperature has presently been restored.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the safety and welfare of detainees in the MCDF. The present renovations (and a future HVAC system) will provide a long-term solution to these efforts.
