DESCRIPTION:<p>MONTGOMERY, AL (12/22/2022)- After consulting with Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed, Pike Road Mayor Gordon Stone, Montgomery-City County Emergency Management Director Christina Thornton and local weather experts, Montgomery County Commission Chairman Doug Singleton has declared all county office buildings closed on Friday, December 23, 2022, due to potentially dangerous driving conditions as a result of anticipated late-night precipitation and early morning freezing temperatures. The City of Montgomery and Town of Pike Road will also be closing their facilities.</p><p>Roads and bridges may become icy, so motorists are encouraged to exercise caution while driving.</p><p>The Montgomery City-County Emergency Management Agency will open the Montgomery Warming Center located at 3446 LeBron Road until December 27 (and any additional nights that temperatures drop below 35 degrees) from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m.</p><p>The county advises all Montgomery residents to stay safe during this time and be weather aware. </p>
